September 13, 2005 / by birthorder

Sometimes Birth Order stays strong throughout life. But for many people, apparent Birth Order Effects diminish as they get older, being the least apparent when they are in their fifties. Usually the stresses of raising a family, coping with advancing a career and marital friction become less during the fifties. After a person reaches retirement age Birth Order characteristics tend to return. The limitations of age, stress of illness and the inability to leave home tend to bring back the effects of Birth Order.

Understanding one's own Birth Order improves life at any age. Understanding others' Birth Orders improves relationships at any age. And, understanding Birth Order is one way to prepare for the retirement years.
