A special Birth Order situation can create extraordinarily high IQ in a person. This occurs when the oldest child, a girl, is a Third Born in personality.
The first born daughter becomes Third Born because her mother, a Second Born, is stressed out when she is very young, around two years of age. Under stress, mother interacts with her child in such a way as to produce the next Birth Order personality, i.e., Third Born in the child.
Mother's stress can come from a number of sources such as marital conflict, financial distress, family crisis, substance abuse or psychological. The stress may be increased by the birth of a second child.
The daughter's intelligence is often accompanied with a compulsion to break the rules, violate boundaries, be impulsive and take risks. Others may describe this person as being very intelligent but lacking in common sense.
At this point we can only speculate about the dynamics that cause this phenomenon. If anyone can share experiences please do either as the Third Born, a mother or a sibling. .
If the first born is a boy under the same circumstances, he takes on mother's personality to become a Second Born. We have not seen the same kind of super intelligence in him.
Birth Order sequence takes up following the oldest child. The child following the Third Born daughter will be Fourth Born. The child following the Second Born son will be a Third Born.

My mom became really depressed when I was about five, and became extremely premiscuous, and I saw her cheat on my father a couple of times. That could be added stress, as to why I turned out the way I did.
It's no doubt that I am one of the most intelligent students at my school, but yet - I have been suspended multiple times, and don't like to fall into social norms. And I most definitely do not have common sense, but for some odd reason, I am extremely creative and excel at writing and the arts. But, at the same time can do trigonometry flawlessly.
I figured I'd share my story, because it fit nicely in what you were saying.
